At Spoony, community is our core. We are deeply committed to connecting with our users and followers, actively participating in conversations, and truly listening to your voices. Every week, we’ll feature a conversation with a fellow Spoony, sharing their unique story and experiences.
This week we're talking to Janaya from Wellington, New Zealand. Thanks for sharing your story!
Are you neurodivergent, chronically ill, and/or disabled?
Neurodivergent.
What barriers have you experienced in making friends and connecting with people?
I find it quite hard to make friends. I have ADHD and anxiety and I don’t go to many places because I get overstimulated very easily. I have struggled in work environments because I tend to hyperfocus on whatever I'm doing. Not to mention, starting up conversations with people I don’t know is incredibly tough for me.
What's been your experience on Spoony so far?
Spoony is very simple to navigate and it's easy to communicate with others. I love the fact that the community is using Spoony to give each other advice and help each other out.
Each week we'll feature a Spoony from our amazing community. If you'd like to share your story, let us know here.
